Two Twin Valley School District students were honored during a ceremony at a Wednesday Rotary Club of Twin Valley meeting.
Jessica Peppernick
Over the past 4 years Jessica has achieved many accomplishments, mostly in athletics. She has been a varsity field hockey starter all four years of her high school career. She was awarded All Division for her sophomore and senior years and in her senior year was also awarded All Academic Team. Because of her involvement in premier field hockey, she got the opportunity to go to California, Arizona, Virginia and Florida to play in tournaments. To keep in shape during the spring Jessica played three years of high school soccer. All three years she was awarded a varsity letter. In her junior year, Jessica was awarded with all division honorable mention. In school she has also excelled as well. She has taken many honors and AP courses and has gotten on the Honor Roll every semester of her high school career. Jessica is also in the National Honors Society. Lastly, Jessica has interned for Robeson Elementary and Twin Valley Middle Schools. For an hour and a half every day, she was able to work with 2nd and 8th graders. For the future, Jessica plans to go to the Indiana University of Pennsylvania on a field hockey scholarship. She plans to study to become an Elementary Teacher, preferably for kindergarten to 3rd grade.
Leif Malm
Leif is the current president of the Twin Valley High School TSA (Technology Student Association). He has competed in state and national competition; representing his school and bringing home awards. Leif is also member of the Chinese Club and is planning a return trip to China in June of 2012. He is also a dedicated member of the band, orchestra, and Jazz Band. Leif is also involved with our National Honor Society, Ski Club, and Green Machine. His future plans include attending either Lehigh, Drexel or Penn State – Main Campus.
