Chris Doyle | Past President
Chris is the owner of White Horse Mill Antiques in Gap, Pa. For 35 years he was a career agent for The Equitable Life Insurance Company. He has a BS in Political Science and Masters from Villanova University in Social Sciences.
Chris and his wife Debra live in a 200-year-old stone colonial farmhouse in Elverson. For 35 years Chris was a runner, participating in five marathons.

Bruce Hartshorne | Past President
Bruce is privileged to serve at Tel Hai Retirement Community as the Executive Vice President, Operations a position he has held since 2006 following 12 years at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Bruce and his wife, Linda, are residents of Cochranville, PA. in Chester County.

Mary Ellen Mahan | Past President
Mary Ellen Mahan (aka “MEM”) is a consultant focusing on maximizing human capital. She retired from Sychronoss Technologies as Vice President of Operations and retired from AT&T as Executive Director of Billing for worldwide business customers. She is the President of the Board for the Village Library, a weekly panel member on Berks Perspectives on BCTV, Treasurer of the Reading Community Players and a member of Rotary since 2015. She is the club’s current representative for the Gundaker Foundation. She and her fiancee, Joan, keep busy hiking, kayaking, canoeing and gardening.

Ron joined Rotary in 1997 as a charter member of the Twin Valley Rotary Club. He served as President in 1999-2000 and as Treasurer from 2003-2014. This year marks his fourteenth year as Team Captain of the Club’s team in the Twin Valley Relay for Life.
He has been Chair of the Clubs annual fundraiser, Tri-County Art Show, since 2004. Ron and his wife, Jill, have two daughters, Laura and Lydia, and two grandsons, Milo and Leo.Member since June 30, 1997.

Dick is the Director of Ministries for the Brick Lane Community Church.

Misty Toothman
Misty A. Toothman, Esquire, is an attorney at O’Donnell, Weiss, & Mattei, P.C. with offices in Pottstown and Phoenixville. Misty focuses her practice on probate and estates (estate administration), estate planning, and real estate matters. Misty is also a PA licensed title agent and notary public.
Misty is a Chester County native who grew up on a dairy farm and has lived in California, Florida, Maryland, and North Carolina in support of her husband’s military career. After her husband, Drew, retired from the Marine Corps, Misty, Drew, and their three children – Karis, Canaan, and Carsen – moved to Berks County and lovingly restored a historic stone farmhouse.
While she was earning her Bachelors in Print Journalism from Liberty University, Misty was an intern at the Tri-County Record. Misty went on to earn a master’s degree from American Military University in American History and a Juris Doctorate from Villanova School of Law. In May 2023, Misty will complete her Masters in taxation from Villanova School of Law.
All three of Misty’s children currently attend Twin Valley district schools and are involved in various sports and activities, including track & field, Scout Troops 543 and 543G, and the Twin Valley Mountain Biking Team. Misty’s hobbies include playing the piano, reading fiction, and crafting.

DR. PATRICK WINTERS grew up in Lancaster County and is a graduate of Manheim Township High School. He then earned a B.A. in English with a double minor in French and Business Administration as well as a Secondary Teaching Certification from Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. Patrick began his career in education in 1999 as a high school English teacher at East Rowan High School in the Rowan-Salisbury School System, a position he held for eight and a half years. During his tenure as a teacher, he also served as Department Chair, received his National Board Teaching Certification, and earned Master’s degrees in English Education and School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Gardner-Webb University respectively. Upon leaving the classroom, Dr. Winters served as an assistant principal at East Rowan High School for an additional year and half before moving back to Lancaster County in February of 2008 to take a middle school assistant principal position at Garden Spot Middle School in Eastern Lancaster County (ELANCO) School District. Patrick spent 10 years in ELANCO in a variety of additional administrative roles including, but not limited to, the following: High School Assistant Principal, Director of Virtual Programs, and Director of Curriculum & Instruction. It was during his time in ELANCO that Patrick earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership and his Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from Immaculata University. After his tenure in ELANCO, Dr. Winters was afforded the opportunity to serve in Exeter Township School District as their Assistant Superintendent for three plus years before joining the Twin Valley School District family on April 1, 2021.
Patrick is married to his wife of 22 years, Lee, and they have four children – Anna Claire (19), Carter (17), Ella Kate (12), and Charlie (10) – plus two miniature Golden Doodles, Bailey and Maggie. In his spare time, Dr. Winters enjoys reading non-fiction, listening to music, watching Philadelphia professional sports, Penn State football, and Tarheel basketball, and spending time with his family. His favorite book of all time is Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, and one of his favorite quotations comes from former president Theodore Roosevelt who said, “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly.” Patrick is proud to be a member of the Twin Valley School District family and is enjoying his service to the District and the larger community!

Rick is a retired Electric Operations Manager from PECO Energy. Following his retirement he served for seven years as a tutor of English as a second language at the Chester County Industrialization Center, and six years as an Elverson Borough Councilman.
In 1999 Rick joined The Rotary Club of Twin Valley where he served as president from 2000 to 2002. In 2000 he created the club website and maintained it for over 10 years. Rick is also a committee member for our club’s Tri-County Art Show and Sale.
