The 2012 Relay for Life and Team Rotary

We had the best weather of any Relay and collected over $74,000 in the battle against cancer! The Twin Valley Relay team was one of ten to collect over $1000. In addition 3 teams exceeded $2000, 1 over $3000, and two over $5000.
This was the twelfth Relay and we have participated in them all. There were some amazing stories from the survivors and caregivers who have lost loved ones including a committee member who Relayed in Japan.
The track was lined with shoes donated by relayers and symbolized those who have lost their lives to cancer. The shoes were donated to In Eon’s Boots, a charity that distributes shoes around the world to those in need.
Many thanks to our great team of walkers which included the following:
Club Members – Rick Berger, Ron and Jill Moyer, Gail and Alan Haffler, Chris Mulhall and friend Jen, Adrienne Masak Rozier and daughter, Geneva, Les and Ruth Groves, Mark Prowell and neighbor Brian, Non-club Members – Dario and Laura Salvucci and sons Leo and Milo, Knicki Knickerbocker and son Stephen, Peg Kaufmann, Jerry Deffobis
Great job by everyone!!
