Morgan Raines
Morgan Raines is a senior at Twin Valley High School and is highly involved in her school and community. Morgan is the Senior Class Secretary and is a member of Student Council, NHS, Spanish Honor Society, TVHS Heroes, Mini-THON, History Club, the Tennis Team, and the Lacrosse Team. During her time on the Lacrosse Team, Morgan won three county championships, one district runner-up, two district championships, and was runner-up in two state championships. As a part of the Tennis Team, she was team captain and played number 1 singles and doubles, and also received the coaches award this year. In school, she likes to push herself. She is 4th in her class and has taken eight AP classes, including AP US History, AP Statistics, AP Language and Composition, AP Physics, AP Psychology, and AP Calculus AB and BC. Morgan is the first-ever sophomore to take and get a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She loves going to the beach and spending time outside. She also works as a host at a restaurant and referees youth lacrosse. Morgan will be attending Duquesne University next year to continue her academic and athletic career. She will be going into the Physician Assistant program and playing Division 1 Lacrosse with her older sister.
Sam Frey
Sam Frey is a senior at Twin Valley High School, where he has maintained a cumulative GPA of around 4.4 and a class rank within the top 10 students. Sam is a four-sport varsity athlete who is the captain and goalkeeper of the soccer team, the kicker for the football team, and a mid-distance runner on both the indoor and outdoor track teams. Sam has earned several recognitions through his athletics, such as Berks All-Division and All-Division Honorable Mention teams in his senior and junior years for soccer, as well as winning team MVP each of those seasons. Sam is also a record-breaking kicker for Twin Valley, where he is the school’s highest-scoring placekicker of all time. During his football career, Sam was a member of the Berks & LL League second team for two consecutive seasons, as well as finishing second in the 2023 Berks Kicker of the Year competition. He was also recognized for being the leadoff leg of the 2023 Berks County 4×800 champions in track. Sam is also the president of Varsity Club, a LINK Leader, and a member of NHS, History Club, and Robeson Heroes, and is currently an intern at Arro Consulting, a civil engineering firm in Birdsboro. In his minimal free time, Sam greatly enjoys the outdoors and pursues other hobbies such as photography and woodworking. Sam has committed to continuing his athletic and academic career at York College of Pennsylvania, where we will play soccer and major in civil engineering.
