In a celebration at our Wednesday morning breakfast meeting, we recognized two outstanding Twin Valley Rotary Students of the Month.

Lauren Matthews receiving the Twin Valley Student of the Month award from Dr. Robert Pleis.Lauren is an inductee into the National Honor Society and is involved in many Twin Valley activities including; president of the newly formed Library Student Advisory Board, an alto sax player in the band, a varsity cross-country runner, and Jr. Vice President for the FFA. Lauren has also received many awards including; the German Award, the Horticultural Sciences Award, the English Award, the Health Award, and the Jazz Band Award. She has also performed in this year’s A ‘Capella Choir and in musicals such as Anything Goes, Hot Box Dancer and Guys and Dolls.
Outside of school she has competed as a nationally ranked “solo dance” roller skater and has qualified to compete at Nationals every year since 2006. Lauren has also studied piano for multiple years.
Morgan Majeski receiving the Twin Valley Student of the Month award from Dr. Robert Pleis.Morgan is a senior, Vice President of the Student Council, and President of the Senior Class. Next year she plans to attend either Johnson and Whales University in Rhode Island or Newbury College in Boston. She plans to double major in fashion merchandising and event planning and will participate in an internship with a certified fashion consultant in January.
Morgan’s dream is to be living in a big city with a successful job in the fashion industry and have a family with a loving husband.
