Joshua Phillips and Ethne Werner
Josh Phillips
Josh Phillips is an extremely active student in Twin Valley High School. Josh is the Class of 2023 Class President, as well as the Secretary of the National Honors Society. He is heavily involved in several clubs including Student Council, Mini-Thon, History Club, High School Heroes, Awakening Club and LINK where he has been a Link Leader on two of their trips. Josh is also involved in Athletics at Twin Valley, participating in both Cross Country, Track and Basketball. Last spring Josh was able to compete in and win the county title with his track team. He has been a Captain for the basketball team for two years now and has played on Varsity for the past three. Outside of school, Josh is committed to his faith and service. He works for his Catholic Parish as a sacristan as well as the Facilities Coordinator for the church. Josh hopes to pursue a career in either Political Science, Business or law. Just recently, Josh was able to intern with a Magisterial District Court, where he was able to observe and learn the everyday life of a Judge as well as the process of a case from the beginning citation or complaint to the final verdict. Over the summer, Josh participated in the “City on the Hill” camp where he was a mock senator on the state capitol floor for a week. While still undecided, Josh is looking into several schools, some with opportunities for him to play Division 3 basketball.
