Calvin Spahr
Calvin (CJ) Spahr is a senior at Twin Valley High School, where he has participated in many of the school’s Project Lead The Way engineering classes. These classes include Computer Integrated Manufacturing, STEM Lab, Digital Electronics, and Engineering Design and Development, the school’s capstone course for PLTW. CJ’s academic efforts have earned him a cumulative GPA of 4.413 and a class rank within the top 10 students. CJ’s fondness of engineering goes beyond just the classes at Twin Valley, as he is involved with the school’s Technology Student Association (TSA) and has an internship at TIMET, a local titanium manufacturer. He is also involved in High School Heroes, LINK, and the National Honor Society, where he volunteers his time at a local food pantry. CJ can also be found serving at Hopewell Church as an usher on Sunday mornings and as a youth leader at his Wednesday night youth group. Outside of church, clubs, and school, CJ enjoys fishing, working out at the gym, and going to Young Life on Monday nights. For his life after high school, CJ plans to attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he will major in mechanical engineering.
Anjali Nair
Anjali Nair is a senior at Twin Valley High School and is very involved with her school and community. She is a part of many extracurriculars, such as tennis, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Technology Student Association. She has been the President of the Technology
Student Association for her junior and senior years of high school. In TSA this year, she has placed in the events of Architectural Design and CAD Architecture in the annual regional competition. She is also currently serving as the Treasurer of both the Student Council and National Honor Society. She pushes herself academically through various AP classes and has taken a total of 13 AP classes in her high school career, some of which include AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, AP Physics, and AP Literature. She currently has a cumulative GPA of over a 4.5 and is ranked first in her class. Additionally, this year she has received a Letter of Commendation through College Board for her PSAT score being in the top 34,000 scores nationwide. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading, and taking walks with her dog. After high school, Anjali plans to attend college majoring in Architectural Engineering.
