Brianna Bonaduce, Chris Doyle and Kendra Jones
On April 20, the Twin Valley Rotary Club was proud to honor Twin Valley High School seniors, Brianna Bonaduce and Kendra Jones, as their students of the month. The presentation was made at their weekly meeting.
Brianna’s career as a student has been both fulfilling and memorable. She was exposed to different clubs and programs earlier in her high school experience such as tennis, track and field, Student Council and Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week. She is currently involved in Twin Valley High School Heroes and National Art Honors Society. She worked hard in all classes and, as a result, is on the distinguished honor roll. Her favorite subject is art. Brianna finds that this is where she is most successful.
She has received the Twin Valley High School Student of the Year Award for Art I, Art II, Art III and Art IV. Brianna also placed in the Rotary Club art show three years in a row, won the Goggle Works Art Show award for first place in pencil, received “People’s Choice” award and second place in Tel Hai’s art shows and won the “Best in Show” award for the 7th district in the 2015 Congressional Art Contest. Her self-portrait drawing currently hangs in the US Capitol, and for this it was honored with a Chester County Citation. Because of her passion for art, she will be attending Kutztown University in the fall for a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Kendra has enjoyed every part of school and cannot believe how soon she will have to transition to a new chapter in her life. Throughout high school she has been a part of the field hockey and track and field teams as well as National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society. Another program Kendra has been blessed to be a part of is the Twin Valley High School Heroes Program. It has been quite a journey through school and she would not change it for the world.
Kendra has a passion for working with children. To continue this, she decided to further her education at Liberty University where she will be studying Elementary Education. Not only will she be receiving an education, but Kendra will also continue her field hockey career. In high school field hockey Kendra has won three Berks County Championships, District Runner Up as well as a State Championship while also being named a part of the All-State team. Although she has shown success on the field, Kendra also has been successful in the art room. She has been awarded Twin Valley High School Student of the Year for Art III and IV as well as Ceramics I and II. This year, Kendra was also privileged to be assisting with painting the scenes for the school musical as well as the character cut out board.
